First Post

Hi Everyone,
Welcome to our blog!  Take a minute to test out the comments section.  Say hello to the other club members or talk a bit about the reading we have done so far.  Maybe you could post one of your favorite expressions from Jessie Lou.  Or let us know what your favorite part of the book is so far.  I think my favorite would have to be when Jessie Lou is describing the first grader dropping his lunch.  That part reminds me of some first graders I know from Tesago!

    its a good book even though I did not recieve a copy but the 2 first chapters we read in the club, was funny and made you want to keep reading

    The book is a lot better than I thought it would be I guess it is true that you should not judge a book by its cover!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Yeah it is a really good book so far.I can't wait to read some before I go to bed! This book is really funny. My favorite phrase was in the prolog when it said had I known that leg brace would be for me a kind of gateway, a door into a whole new changeable world!

    I just finished chapter 3. What Conrad did with his bike was not smart. Jessie Lou has the best sayings they are funny!

    This book is the best book ever. It is hard to stop. At the meeting I didn't think that I would be able to finsh the book. No wI think I can finsh the book by the weekend! Great recomendation! Who recomended it? What is your favorite part so far?

    I'm glad you guys are using the comments and I'm really glad you are liking the book so far! Hopefully we will get to other copies out to you girls very soon. Ariana - grandaddy is another word for Grandpa.

    Yeah I am on chapter 4 and I can not stop reading it in school. Amanda is right I wonder why Conrad did that. Anyone know? Miss Pierce can we read past page 138,but not tell at book club what happens because once I get to that page I know I won't be able to stop!

    hi i figued that it was her grandpa but it said out of all DADs S i didnt no then it said he was 82 does she have a dad?Im doing good on reading the book i love it

    Lyric I'm hoping the other copies of the book arrive very soon. I'm anxious for you guys to start reading too!
    Elise, I think Jessie Lou is in a special class that mixes up the grades. That kind of classroom is called Multi-Age and it's not in style any more in NY, but maybe it is in Jessie Lou's town. It could definitely be fun sometimes to have all ages of kids in your room.

    I am only 38 pages away yay yay !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The book is ok so far . Its not my favorite thou. :)
